CompiSax bags are manufactured from Bioplast 2189, a natural replacement for PVC, PP, HDPE and PET. It is a bio-compostable bioplastic made from over 60% sustainable potato crop material and 20% non oil-based products. CompiSax bags are made from potato starch, unlike most others abvailable which are made from corn starch.
Made from potato starch mixed with other proprietary brand products for superior flexibility, Bioplast 2189 bioplastic is certified EN 13432 and DIN CERTCO biodegradable and compostable. Bioplast 2189 has EU & FDA (USA) Food Contact Approval. - Are manufactured in the UK to ISO 9000:2000 strict quality specifications
Will fully compost in 6-10 weeks to water, carbon dioxide and biomass in negligible quantities

The materials This material is made from vegetable starch with other proprietary brand products added to give superior flexibility. It is 100% compostable and suitable for home composting or for collection of compostable waste as part of an authorized collection scheme or industrial compost facilities.
